Hubby Tag

Ok, Amber had this on her blog and even though she didn't offically "tag" me, I did this anyway!

1. Where did you meet your husband?

At the Institute

2. How long did you date before you got married?

We dated a few months before we got married. Seth and I were friends for a about a year before we dated.

3. How long have you been married?

6 years in July

4. What does he do that surprises you?

Seth really likes to spoil me. If he knows I’m having a bad day, he pampers me to make me feel better. Yesterday, I was really sick and asked him if he would barbeque the burgers I wanted to cook, and he picked up pizza so I wouldn’t have to cook.

5. What is your favorite feature of his?

I love his eyes! They are a hazel-blue. Sometimes they are blue and sometimes they are a grey. Jeremy and Megan have his eye too. I love it!

6. What is your favorite quality?

He takes such good care of me and the kids. He supports our family. He pampers me if I’m sick or feeling crummy. He plays with the kids first thing after he gets home from work. He’s just great!

7.Does he have a nickname for you?

Ok, you know how in high school relationships teenagers will say things like, “No, you’re the cutest.” “No, you’re the wonderfulest.” Well, Seth and I still do that. LOL

8. What is his favorite food?

Fried chicken with mashed potatoes and corn.

9. What is his favorite sport?

Soccer!

10. When and where did you first kiss?

We first kissed at my house when we were dating. I was his first kiss, and I knew he was saving his kisses for his wife. I asked him why he kissed me and he said, “Because I love you.” It was great.

11. What is your favorite thing to do together as a couple?

I love to just sit and talk with him. Sometimes we stay up really late just talking about random stuff.

12. Do you have children?

Yes. We have three wonderful kids. Rebecca, Jeremy, and Megan

13. Does he have any hidden talents?

I don’t know if this is a “hidden” talent, but he is good at woodworking. A lot of people don’t know that. Right now, he is constructing the 7-foot-long cabinets for our bathroom sink. Our sink is a custom size and it is cheaper and more fun if he builds them himself.

14. How old is he?

29

15. Who said I love you first?

He did. I explained it in the first kiss question.

16. What is his favorite music?

He likes a lot of soft rock

17. What do you admire most about him?

He is so smart. I love how smart he is when it comes to just about everything. Math… the Gospel… common sense stuff… woodworking… you-name-it.

18. What is his favorite color?

Red

19. Will he read this?

Probably not. He doesn’t really read our blog.

20. Who do you tag?

Jillian, Stephanie, Abrie, Ashley, Erica, and Megan

Random stuff about the last few months

The last few months have been insane busy! Here's kinda random events that have happened lately. Not in order or anything. I have a cold today so when things pop in my head, I'll type them.

Last weekend, Seth and I went down the hill to watch the Silverado boy soccer team in the CIF championship. They lost 2 to 1 in over time. It was an awesome game though. Later that day, we went to my cousin Billy's Court of Honor. It was cool. I was happy for him.

Jeremy is potty-trained! Well, almost. He still won't poop in the potty chair, but other than that, he is potty-trained. He caught on to it so quick. I have to ask him if he has to go potty and if he says he does, he just goes. I'm so proud of him.

Rebecca has started preschool! She loves it. She only goes two days a week (Monday & Wednesday). The school psychiatrist lady says she needs something more. She is still evaluating Rebecca, but she says we might bump it up to five days a week. Rebecca will love it.

Megan is finally walking! She waited until she was 15 months old to do it, but she is walking! She's so cute because she is this tiny little thing. She is only 15 pounds. People who don’t know us say, "Wow, she's walking! Isn't she only a few months old?" It's pretty funny. Also, because she is so tiny, we can't even bump her up to a bigger car seat. She hates the infant one, but to sit forward in the big car seat she has to weigh 20 pounds.

I'm going to school again. Seth is helping push me to get my degree. (I'm a slacker, I know.) I'm taking four classes this semester. Yep...FOUR! I'm taking Health 102, Music 100, Philosophy 109, and History 103. After this semester, I will only need five or six more classes to get my Associate's Degree. (I told you...I'm a slacker!)

Ok, has everyone seen the movie WALL-E? Last night, I was doing laundry and Rebecca picked up my bra and put it on her eyes and said, "Whoa!" Nice! By the way, that is Megan's favorite movie and we watch it at least once every day.

My camera broke...again. I hate not having a camera! I have to us disposable ones until I get a new one. I hate it! So, don't expect many great pictures the next few months.

I have been so out of it lately. The other night, I made chicken and Seth pointed out that I have been making chicken a lot lately. After thinking about it for a while I realized that five meals during the last week were chicken. Oops!

Well, my head hurts now (I'm sick today) so I'm going to end this post now. If I think of anything else...um...I'll probably forget because I'm sick. Hee-Hee.

Crazy December

December was very busy and very exciting for us.

On the 17th of this month, we got snow! There was about a foot of snow at our house. In the morning, it was not sticking at our house. My mom called and said she had tons at her house. I did not want the kids to miss the snow, so I drove to my mom's house across town. After being at her house a few hours, it poured and Hesperia was covered in snow. So later I had to drive home in the snow. It was scary, But I did okay. Rebecca loved the snow! She threw snowballs, made snow angels, ran around and laughed. Jeremy hated the snow. He just stood outside and cried. We decided that Megan was too little to play in the snow. Maybe next year. When Seth got home from work, he and the kids made a snowman. The snow stayed for about 5 days!!! It was great. On the 18th, Seth made a sledding track in our yard and the kids and I went sledding all day. Jeremy had fun... until he hit the bottom and landed face first in the snow. Rebecca loved sledding! Our neighbor painted his house lime green a few months ago, and I stood out like crazy in the snow. It was really funny! We also took our family pictures in the snow. They came out really cute.

This year, Rebecca decorated our Christmas tree. I was going to do it. I got out all of the ornaments, but had to go to the bathroom. When I got out, Rebecca was putting them on the tree. Jeremy helped by handing Rebecca the ornaments so she can put them on the tree. It looked beautiful!

Christmas was wonderful this year! It was our first Christmas that we stayed home all day. It was so nice and relaxing. We went to our families' houses on other days. I also made my first turkey. I turned out so good! I was really proud of myself. Santa brought us lots of great stuff this year. Seth bought me a laser printer. It is so great. I gave Seth lots of little stuff. He got movies, a new golf club, Game Cube games (Yea, we have an old Game Cube...we also have a Nintendo NES and a Sega Genesis too!), a new board game, and an organizer for the trunk of his car. The kids each got a few toys, but they really needed clothes so that's what they got. Luckily, they are still to young to complain that they got stupid clothes.

Another Update

Hey everyone! This blog will be another update because we have been so stinkin' busy.

October was filled with our usual Halloween stuff. We went to the Pumpkin Patch on the 27th. We pick a pumpkin at the Patch every year. It is such a fun tradition. We just let the kids run around for a while, which they absolutely love. After picking our pumpkin out, Seth noticed the mini-pumpkins and let the kids each pick one of those too. This year we actually got the pumpkin cleaned out to crave...but never got around to craving it. I'm pretty proud of ourselves because that is the farthest we have ever gotten to having a carved pumpkin. (We're lame, I know.)

For Halloween this year we dressed up as pirates...except for Megan who was a parrot. It was so adorable! I loved our costumes this year!

November was busy, busy, busy!
Daniel and Sarah had their first child. His name is Peter Moroni. Seth, Megan and I drove up to Logan, Utah for the baby blessing on the weekend of the 1st. It was really fun, but a long drive. Peter's blessing was at their house because Sarah couldn't leave the house. Daniel gave a very nice blessing. After the blessing, Dad said a prayer to bless the food. It was really funny because anyone who knows Dad knows he is a bit long winded when it comes to prayers. The blessing on the food was longer than the baby blessing! We got a cute picture of Daniel holding Peter; here it is:

Then on the 9th, Rebecca was in her first Primary Program. Her line was, "I am a child of God." When she got up to the mic, she shouted, "No!" Oh well, maybe next year.

Megan turned one this month. We had a small party for her. We wanted to do something bigger, but Seth and I were burnt out this month. She had fun and got a few new toys. Megan loved the chocolate cake. She is a chocaholic just like Seth!

Josh got married on the 22nd. His new bride, Rebekah, choose the Salt Lake Temple to get married in, so it was up to Utah again. It was interesting to go to Utah twice in one month. Seth gave one of the toasts at the reception breakfast. His toast was funny. He said that we are relieved because the ugly one finally got married. Ha Ha Ha! We thought it was really funny. While in Utah, we tried to get our family picture done, but when I got home and looked at them, they were all bad. I guess we'll try again in a few weeks.

During the last week of November, my mom came over to help Seth lay the tile in our bathroom. We are getting so close to finishing. It is very exciting.

Ok. There's my little update. Sorry for being so lazy...again!

Oh, Erica - my email is sethsnedegar@verizon.net. (How original, huh?)
